Happy Friday! I’m back with another week of shopping my stash! I want to use an item that is in my collection that I sometimes tend to neglect for one week and then write a little review on it for you guys. This week I chose to show some love to my Clinique Chubby in the Nude foundation stick.
This foundation stick (which I have in the shade 02 Abundant Alabaster) is a very light coverage foundation. The reason I do not turn to this product too often is because it is such a sheer coverage on my skin. Although I definitely do like a sheer coverage in my foundation, this foundation barely makes a difference to my skin (as you’ll be able to see in my before & after photos later).
~ It blends really nicely with my fingers, so it’s quick and convenient to use.
~ The colour match is pretty good (perhaps not pink enough, but better than some other foundation shades I have tried).
~ The packaging is sleek and handbag friendly, perfect for touch-ups or travelling.
~ Using this foundation this week I found that I can only really wear and enjoy this foundation over the top of my Chi Chi Cosmetics BB cream, which actually gives more coverage than this foundation. If I layer these two products, I get a bit more coverage out of both, and a more long-lasting finish. The foundation stick can apparently be built up for a full coverage look (according to Mecca’s product description found here) but I find that I have to use far too much product to achieve that, and it’s just a waste.
The Clinique foundation stick can be purchased from Myer, David Jones, Mecca Maxima, or any other Clinique stockist. It retails for $50.00. I recommend this to people who want a sheer coverage, or want to boost the wear of their BB or CC creams. This foundation is really easy to apply and it is very light weight on the skin. All in all, I’d rate this particular foundation a 4/10.
