Welcome back to another Monthly Favourites post! July went by so quickly – I went away on a girls trip, I had some family members visit, it was mine and my partner’s anniversary, and my partner’s birthday! I’m excited to see what this month has in store. Read on to find out my July Favourites!
Red Earth Earth Colour Eye Shadow Palette in 01 Warm Glow
This palette was actually my best friend’s but she had a makeup de-clutter in July and I was lucky enough to snag this beautiful palette. Red Earth is an Australian brand available to buy in store at David Jones or online through Adore Beauty. Red Earth also have a website, but this particular palette is no longer displayed on it.
This palette contains 10 beautiful shades consisting of five matte and five high-shine shimmer in neutral colours. This is a really pretty minimal-neutral palette that is perfect for creating complete looks. The palette is very compact and has a mirror, so is perfect for travel. The packaging itself is really lovely as well. It got a lot of use last month creating soft, natural looks.
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer and Cindy-Lou Manizer
These highlighters from The Balm are cult favourites – and for good reason. I have owned Mary-Lou for quite some time. It made my 2016 Beauty Favourites, so it’s definitely an old favourite. Cindy-Lou is a new addition though, also courtesy of my bestie’s clean out. I have been loving layering the two on top of one another – it has been my go-to glow in July. I start with Cindy-Lou and then apply a small amount of Mary-Lou just to the very high points on my cheeks.
This gives a stunning peachy, champagne glow. It goes perfectly with the Red Earth palette mentioned above – it’s a match made in heaven.
L’Oreal Paris Botanicals Safflower Rich Infusion Softening Ointment
Botanicals is a new hair care range from L’Oreal. I picked up this softening ointment for dry hair in July when Priceline had 40% off hair care. This ointment smells incredible. Not going to lie, a big part of why I love this product so much is the scent. Apparently quite a few products in this range smell really yummy, so do check it out.
I love applying this ointment in my day 2 or 3 hair, just to tame some frizz and fly-aways and give some life and shine back into my hair. It’s the perfect boost for your hair, and has been a life saver in this colder weather. My hair is bleached/lightened and therefore damaged, so I like using these types of products to repair my hair between washes.
You can also apply this product into wet hair as a leave-in conditioner. I enjoy versatile hair care products that can be used in wet or dry hair, and this is a great all-rounder product.
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails nail polish in shade Golden-I
My favourite go-to nail polish for the month of July was this Sally Hansen polish. Wow. That’s all I can say. I already have other shades in this Hard as Nails formula and I really like it – it’s a heavy duty polish that helps my brittle nails not break and flake. I really recommend trying this particular formula out if you have thin, breakable nails. It’s an affordable formula too, and is constantly on sale at Priceline.
This shade is an ultra-shimmery rose gold. The colour pay off is incredible, I only needed one thin coat and I was done. This polish dries quickly and I really like the thin brush applicator. Highly recommend this polish! It’s neutral, but so glam.
That concludes my round-up of products I was loving in July! What products did you enjoy last month? Let me know!
